So maybe I am trying to have the collar in the wrong place where does it go on the dog??? On her side of her neck or right under her chin???

Asked by: River1
Hello, The optimum positioning of the collar will be just off to the side of center of the dog's neck. Also it needs to be not overly tight, but snug to the point where you can just fit two fingers under the collar. See fitting instructions below: ADJUSTING & POSITIONING YOUR COLLAR FOR PROPER FIT  All electronic collars need to be very snug to work properly. They must be just tight enough to allow the electrodes and the sensor to make good skin contact.  If your collar is too loose, the stimulation may not work properly because good skin contact is not being achieved. This can directly affect the stimulation performance and whether or not the dog will receive the stimulation. Always check for good contact if it appears that your dog is not responding to the stimulation.  A loose collar can promote skin irritation from moving or rubbing too much on a dog’s neck while they are running or training. The proper snug fit will help prevent this from occurring.  Proper fit of the collar is extremely important. It should be just tight enough on the dog’s neck to make good skin contact while still allowing the dog to breath normally. The collar should never be so tight that it restricts the dog’s normal breathing pattern.  For proper positioning of your collar receiver box, it should be placed so that the electrodes and sensor are facing the dog’s vocal cords.  Check your dog’s neck daily for signs of possible irritation. Proper collar tightness and position are very important to insure safety and correct functioning every time you use the collar. Hope this helps.

this product works great, BUT is there any way to move the box to the middle of the collar? when I have it around my dogs neck it has to be so small that the huge buckle and magnet make the collar go sideways can’t figure out how to make it stay correctly

Can I program 3 collars to one remote?

Asked by: Vero
Hello, This collar (the 1125) that you have inquired about is one of our No-Bark collars. They do not operate from a remote. They help to keep a dog from barking by operating off of a vibration sensor that activates the collar when their vocal cords vibrate and set it off. We do have many e-collar trainers that can program 3 collars to one remote transmitter to work up to 3 dogs. Hope that helps.

Asked by: River
Hello, We do have different units you an try, but no smaller collars. We have the 2090 No Nark, and the Bark Boss. Both of which will adjust down to a very small circumference size of about 7" or so. I have included the links to those products below if you are interested. 2090 No Bark: https://dtsystems.com/products/no-bark-trainers/ultra-2090.html Bark Boss: https://dtsystems.com/products/no-bark-trainers/bark-boss.html Hope this helps.

We have an 8# Maltipoo purchased this at collar clinic his neck is small we are using the short Prongs have the intensity at 2. How high should we be at for this size dog.  Today is first day I have it own fairly tight but his neck is short too

Asked by: Karmin
Hello, Each dog varies as to the amount of correction they need. We recommend to put the collar on fairly tight (so the prongs make good contact). A good rule is if you can just fit two fingers under the collar strap once it is on the dog. We then recommend starting off at Level 1, and progressively increasing the levels until the dog shows a reaction to the collar. Once it is at the proper working level for your dog, they will stop the barking when they feel the stimulation. Hope this helps.

My dog is a Boerboel with a neck that is 28 1/2 in. Do you have a collar to fit that size neck? She is very "jowly" so I am not even sure if it would be effective? If you do not have a stock one that size could I get a special order one? Nancy

Asked by: nancy
Hello, The collar strap has an additional 3" or so length without adjustment holes. Depending on how much extra length you need you could make an additional adjustment hole in that additional section of the collar and it may work for your dog. Also make sure you are putting the collar at the smallest portion of the neck just below the ears, typically this portion of the neck will be 2-3" smaller around. We do not offer longer collar straps. Hope this helps.

Is the rechargeable battery on the 1125 DT replaceable? It looks like it's hard wired in and am checking as I need it to be fail safe for a new dog. Is that correct? Thanks.

Asked by: C Edge
Hello, Yes, the rechargeable battery is replaceable in the 1125 no bark collar. With proper charging you should get 3-5 years of use out of the battery before it needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

I purchased your model 1125 DT to try and curb the barking behavior of my 4 year old black lab in the duck blind. Sold as "waterproof". Owners manual states not to "immerse" the unit. She retrieves ducks in water. Is this thing waterproof or not?

Asked by: HG
Hello, Yes, the 1125 DT No Bark collar is 100% waterproof. Sorry for the confusion. Hope this helps.
