Great collar !!
Best $ I ever spent on my dog. I've had this for about 5 yrs. without any problems until the case around the collar cracked and got water inside. I will be buying a replacement collar. My dog tries to get food on the counter, and harasses my kids when they're eating. If this collar is on he's like a different dog. I don't even has to "shock" him. He stops with just the vibration button. I've also had him off leash in the woods and and I let him go as far as I can see. With just a press of the vibrate button he runs back to my side. Great product all and all in my opinion

Less than 3 months and now collar won't charge
I bought this collar for training my two dogs, the collar has worked great for 3 months and now it won't charge. I have tried wiggling the connectors, looking in the charging port, everything seems to be in place and clean but when plugged into any outlet I don't even get the flicker of a light indicating power even reaching the collar. I will change my rating of the product when the issue is addressed, surely the charging systems should last more than a few months, right?

this is the easiest and fastest working training collar ive ever owned.
I bought this training collar shortly after Santa Clause brought my 5 year old daughter a Jack Russell puppy. I can honestly say with out it (Sam) would be an out of control, happy go anywhere little dog. He is now the most obedient dog I have ever owned. I would highly recommend this product to anyone for any size dog. the rechargeable battery lasts for days on a single charge and is very economical compared to other products with replaceable batteries. This is the only brand that I have worked with that is absolutely trouble free.

Excellent product
This is an excellent training collar, so easy to set up and use especially with my 6 month old Brittany. My only issue is getting the charging unit to work it has not charged my collar sporadically. I would recommend this collar to anyone it is small and easy to use

Won't charge after 3 months
This is the third DT systems dog collar I have owned. I purchased one years ago and it was very reliable and a good collar. It was misplaced and I purchased another one. After a month, like the reviewer below, it would not longer charge. I contacted the retailer and it was replaced. Another month into the new one, it now is no longer charging. This is a great product when it charges, however the problems I have had with the past 2 have me disappointed.

Great Training collar
I bought this a couple of months ago for my German Shepherd puppy and my adult Australian Shepherd. Works great, especially on the adult dog. The puppy is becoming more familiar with it so it's beginning to work well for him too.

Works as expected. Instructional manual needs clarity.
After some expierimenting finally found where the charging receptacle was located. How to turn it on and off. Clarity could be implemented. Also a simple inexpensive clip to tether the long tail of the collar would help greatly.

Excellent collar for everyday dogs!
The Micro-IDT is an amazing collar that has a lot of bang for its buck! This collar works great for obedience training as well as different types of yardwork. The vibration feature is an enjoyable way to reinforce behaviors.

Why does mine not work beyond 26 feet
Hello,
The Micro iDT will work out to around 1/2 Mile! So clearly something is awry if your's only works to a measured 26 feet.
The 9v battery in the remote must be high quality and fresh, we recommend Duracell, or for the best possible performance, Energizer Lithium 9v.
Also make sure the remote antenna is screwed down tight, and the collar is fully charged with a green light.
You can test the distance with the provided tester.
Also make sure the collar is very snug on the dog so the contact points are actually making contact. I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for you here which goes over all of these things in detail:

My dog chewed the end of the collar and now there are wires sticking out. Can I just trim the end and seal it?
Hello,
Yes, as long as it is just an inch or two of the end there isn't any problem. The wire is just our Maxx Range 360 antenna wire and it will not hurt to trim it a bit and put a piece of electrical tape over the end.

I am thinking of getting this collar for my German Shepherd and other collars do not phase him. He also has a collar that has 100 levels of shock and at 100 he is not phased. What is the voltage of the levels for this collar?
Hello,
Our MIcro iDT has 16 levels and the levels increase exponentially once you pass level 7. Our actual incremental level system is proprietary information as I am sure you can understand.
We do have many K9 trainers that use the Micro for German Shepherds and Malinois and they have stated that the collar is plenty "hot" for their use.
The number of levels is relative, for instance we could produce a collar that had 1,000 levels, but the increments inbetween the lowest level and the highest level is what matters.
Our collars have e-stim levels that will work on most any dog and have very positive results.
