Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I intended to and was pretty sure I ordered a green and orange collar, and I received a green and black collar....I was a little disappointed for that. Now I have 2 black collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this collar! This is an add on collar to the original system. The collars work great using a single controller. It is a good tool for discipline work with my dogs if used sparingly.

Hi can you buy a replacement collar to use with my remote hand set if so do they have to be programmed in any way for them to work

Asked by: Horseman
Hello, Yes, you can buy add on (replacement) collars for your Micro iDT. We sell them on our website as well as through our authorized retailers like Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, etc. You can buy one on the link below from our website and the packaging includes instructions on how to program the collar to your existing remote. Link for Micro iDT add on collars: https://dtsystems.com/products/remote-trainers/micro-idt-plus/idt-add-on.html Programming instructions: PROGRAMMING When adding an “Add-On” collar, the collar will need to be programmed to the transmitter. If your current collar unit is not responding to the transmitter, it may also need to be reprogrammed to the transmitter. 1. Select the desired Collar Selecting Switch position on the transmitter. 2. Hold the Transmitter Magnet Indicator (Red Mark) directly against the Magnetic Switch Indicator (Red Mark) on the front of the Collar Receiver. 3. The SmartLED light inside the Collar Receiver will light up solid for about 1 second, followed by 6 flashes. You must keep the Transmitter next to the Collar Receiver during this time. 4. Continue to hold the Transmitter against the Collar Receiver until the SmartLED light stays on solid. The Collar Receiver is now in the Code Running Mode (the SmartLED light will stay lit for approximately 8 seconds while it is in this mode). 5. Remove the Transmitter from the Collar Receiver and press the NICK and CONT buttons simultaneously while it is in the Code Running Mode. 6. When the SmartLED blinks 3 times, the Collar ID is programmed and the Collar Receiver is now ON. NOTE – Do not move the Transmitter Magnet Indicator from the Collar Receiver Magnetic Switch Indicator until after the SmartLED stops flashing and stays on solid or the Collar Receiver will not go into the Code Running Mode. You must press the NICK and CONT buttons simultaneously while the SmartLED is lit solid. Hope this helps.

How do you select "red" "black" or "green" on the add on collar?

Asked by: macbobdad
Hello, If you look at the top of the Micro iDT transmitter/remote there is a switch indicating which collar is being controlled. You will switch it to the corresponding collar you want to control. For your convenience I have included a link here with collar programming instructions, as well as a link to the Owner's manual. IDT collar programming instructions: PROGRAMMING When adding an “Add-On” collar, the collar will need to be programmed to the transmitter. Once the original collar is programmed and then a second collar is programmed as well, then do I need to change the little color switch on top of transmitter to the appropriate color collar when needing to control the dog wearing that color collar?

Asked by: bayley88
Hello, Yes. If you have a black collar and a green collar (for instance), you will switch the small switch on top to select either the black, or green collar for programming and use. the position of the switch will indicate which collar is being programmed, and which collar is being used (which one is getting a signal). Hope this helps.

Will it work to train a deaf dog

Asked by: Manddy 58
Hello, Yes. The Micro iDT has our Vibration Assist training, which is a no shock option that vibrates (much like a mobile phone vibration). It also has our Gentle Touch e-stim with 16 levels of adjustment for training. Hope this helps.

Do these add on collars come in different sizes? We want to get one for our ten pound dog. The convenience of controlling both dogs with one control unit appeals to us, and the collar we have is working wonderful with our 85lb. Labrador!

Asked by: Kath
Hello, The MIcro iDT collar will fit dogs small to large, and the collar will adjust from about 7" to about 22", so yes, it will fit a 10 lbs dog and once the additional collar is programmed, one remote will easily switch back and forth to control both dogs. See the link below for the add on collars for your Micro iDT unit: https://dtsystems.com/idt-add-on.html Hope this helps.

I currently have a black collar. I would like to add two more collars so they will work from my transmitter. Is the collar set to red, black, or green when you activate the collar with the transmitter?

Asked by: Steamboat
Hello, If you look at the top of the Micro iDT remote/transmitter, there is a small grey switch. You can select black, orange, or green on that switch. The switch on the remote is programmed to your black collar from the factory. You can easily program the switch to orange, and/or green collars as well. I have included the collar programming instruction here as well as a link to the Owner's Manual for your convenience. PROGRAMMING When adding an “Add-On” collar, the collar will need to be programmed to the transmitter. If your current collar unit is not responding to the transmitter, it may also need to be reprogrammed to the transmitter. 1. Select the desired Collar Selecting Switch position on the transmitter. 2. NOTE – Do not move the Transmitter Magnet Indicator from the Collar Receiver Magnetic Switch Indicator until after the SmartLED stops flashing and stays on solid or the Collar Receiver will not go into the Code Running Mode.
