Hello, Instructions on collar/transmitter programming are below: PROGRAMMING THE COLLAR When adding an “Add-On” collar, the collar will need to be programmed to the transmitter. If your current collar unit is not responding to the transmitter, it may also need to be reprogrammed to the transmitter. 1. Select the desired Collar Selecting Switch position on the transmitter. 2. Press and hold the power button on the collar like the collar unit is being turned ON. 3. The SmartLED inside the Collar Receiver will light up solid for about 1 second, followed by several flashes. Do not let go of the button during this step. 4. Continue to hold the button until the SmartLED stays on solid. The Collar Receiver is now in the Code Running Mode (the SmartLED will stay lit for approximately 8 seconds while it is in this mode). 5. Release the Collar Receiver button and press the NICK and CONT buttons simultaneously while it is in the Code Running Mode. 6. When the LED light blinks 3 times, the Collar ID is programmed and the Collar Receiver is now ON. NOTE – Do not release the button on the Collar Receiver until after the SmartLED stops flashing and stays on solid or the Collar Receiver will not go into the Code Running Mode. The NICK and CONT buttons must be pressed simultaneously while the SmartLED is lit solid or the Collar Receiver will not be programmed. Hope this helps.

Hello, An 1820 will program with an 1850, but you would lose some of the functions. For instance, the 1820 has vibrate, and the 1850 does not. Hope this helps.

Hello, Yes, this is the correct replacement (Add-on) collar for the 1850 beeper system. If you have the 1850 transmitter/remote with the beeper function, this collar will work with that. If you have the 1810, 1820, or the older 1830 transmitter/remote, then this system will not work with those units. Thanks,

Hello, The 1850 is our Upland/Beeper model and is programmed as such, with buttons to activate the beeper function on the collar. The 1820 Transmitter/Remote does not have the beeper buttons available to operate the 1850 collar, so the two systems will not properly work together. Thank you.
